The University of Peru provides a number of English to courses to enable students to learn the language either as a second language or to learn English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
Our EAP courses have an average of 20 classroom hours every week and are designed to prepare students for degree level courses in English speaking countries. The courses focus on building the core skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing that are required in the university environment.
Students are prepared for degree level courses in an English speaking country by:
- Attending lectures and learning to take effective notes
- Learning to read academic textbooks quickly and effectively
- Giving oral presentations to classes
- Learning to express ideas in a clear and concise academic fashion
All EAP courses at the University of Peru are taught through a mixture of seminars and lectures with time spent each week in one to one sessions with their course tutor.
If you are thinking of spending time studying abroad an EAP course at the University of Peru is an ideal place to start to make sure that you are not left behind when you reach your new country. For more information about the English and EAP courses available at the University of Peru please get in touch with one of our course members or the information centre.
